Do you have a vision? Or could it be a mirage?

A true vision is a complex set of inner qualities and feelings that inspires high performance (often outrageously so!) in yourself and in those who follow you. It is one of the most powerful skills in the leadership tool-kit. It is also poorly understood and desperately under-utilised.

A mirage is a false expectation. You’ll know you’ve had one of those when you feel disappointed, angry, resentful, guilty or hurt.

A mirage is probably the most costly, time-wasting, energy-sapping item that will never show up on your balance sheet.
