HAT™ Part 1: Foundations
Your new career starts here. This intensive workshop is designed to give you the basic tools to increase confidence and competence in delivering HAT to individuals. Throughout the rest of the programme, these three pillars are strengthened and built on. It also means you could get paid while you train – if you demonstrate sufficient skill, you may be included on the roster of assistants who can help deliver certain larger corporate events.
Through deepening your personal experience of the process, we address the three pillars of HAT: Horsemanship, Awareness and Transformational Coaching.
Horsemanship:
The horses are what make the work here such a joy. Although we train you to develop sufficient ‘natural horsemanship’ skill to deliver the work, we support you to go way beyond the basic needs. Through building increasing sensitivity of feel and strength of intention you can truly become a master of HAT.
Awareness:
The purpose of our work with clients is to facilitate awareness. Awareness leads to choice and responsibility. In particular, we facilitate the choice between operating their business from the ‘false’ self versus the ‘true’ self. Only the ‘true’ self generates goals, plans and energy that are truly sustainable.
Our operating principle here goes way beyond ‘walk the talk’ to ‘canter the banter’! This means we work with the primary quality of empathy and work from the inside out. Each and every other human being is a mirror of ourselves. As we become more self aware, more able to discern the distinction in ourselves between our ‘false’ and ‘true’ selves, we naturally become more able to facilitate this in others.
Transformational coaching
There are many complex skill sets that make a good coach. The two we primarily focus on, in these 3-days are: asking intuition-led questions and giving-and-receiving empowering feedback.
The paradigm we work from is that the client already has within them everything they need to navigate themselves successfully through life’s obstacle course.
This applies to you, too, as a coach. Over the first two days you work with a partner and a horse. Day 1 focuses attention on what beliefs and intentions interfere with your ability to coach from the ‘true self’. Day 2 focus on expanding the inner, intuitive coaching resources you already have. Day 3 gives you the chance to exercise your new awareness on a practise client.
